Hi all, what are your thoughts on how AI will change the demand for marketing jobs both now and in the future

Marketing jobs are mostly about people, so it won’t change too much. You’ll have more options. AI can create digital images, but it won’t be the same as asking a person to do it. Sure, AI can help with analysis, but you still need a human to give instructions and make sense of the data. In short, AI acts more like an assistant in marketing, not a full replacement.

It sounds like it’ll have a big impact on job demand over time. The helper role used to be filled by junior staff or freelancers, and now it’s AI.

Exactly! Plus if you don’t manage anyone, I won’t have to call you a manager, which means less pay while I still profit business owners are the only winners here
@Rai
There are AI marketing companies that started recently and are getting more clients. Their solutions look great and are achieving 25-40% better ROI compared to traditional methods for almost nothing monthly. It’s impressive. Creatopy and GrapevineAI are just a couple examples
@Zev
Is Creatopy better than Canva
@Rai
AI images are getting better than those made by humans. Midjourney has won art competitions.

I’m not sure about Midjourney, but agencies usually create marketing materials. If AI can make images well, that’s good for them, I guess.
@Rai
They do use Midjourney for concepts and then Photoshop or Illustrator for edits.

Only if you make them cartoonish. Check out the Midjourney forum and you’ll see what I mean.
I don’t think AI will replace skilled individuals anytime soon, but that might be the issue. A single talented content creator with good AI skills could replace several traditional content creators. That impact could be huge.
@Lennon
At one point, skilled individuals weren’t as skilled. That’s where AI could take over. So, the future might have fewer skilled workers while still needing people.
@Lennon
Exactly people think AI will replace jobs one for one but it will be more about one person doing more than several used to do
@Lennon
I see that happening in my team. Creating content with AI tools is so quick we no longer need freelancers for first drafts. We’re a small team with a limited budget, often working with entry-level content creators. Most AI tools produce similar or even better quality than what we used to get. Since I manage the process, I also speed up content creation since I’m writing it anyway. I’d say it now takes only 4 hours to produce a quality 2000-word blog instead of 12.
The number of copywriters is definitely dropping. If you have a good SEO specialist, they should be able to optimize chatGPT content without needing a dedicated copywriter anymore.

Is it still worth it to develop skills in copywriting and SEO now? I think I’ll use my skills and start a business if the need for those skills goes down.
