What's the Most Impressive AI Tool You Have Ever Tried for Marketing?

@Luca
The reason is it’s not actually doing math, mainly. The LLM approximates mathematical expressions based entirely on linguistic data — that is, it’s seen that when most people write out “two plus two equals” the next word in line is usually “four.” This often is enough for basic work but fails when real math gets involved or it’s faced with novel situations. There are workarounds (GPT Analyst, for example) but typically here the solution is to try to transform into a code expression for the math, and it usually works, but it’s still subject to the same stupid errors as regular GPT.

Would being even more precise with wording help?

Maybe, though in my admittedly limited experiments you run into diminishing returns quickly. That is, if you understand the problem you’re solving well enough to describe it with full accuracy, then you understand it enough to be able to very quickly spin up some dedicated code to solve it repeatedly, which ends up being faster and more efficient than trying to AI it.

@Denim
They can be at least as good as a junior data analyst, which is arguably saying they are better than your average person.

Is GPT-4 a Good Data Analyst?

@Joss
This just blew my mind as I’m currently taking a data analysis certification and stressing about how to remember formulas and function prompts. Never thought of this!!

Bonus points: ask it to write the formula and then explain how it works. It’s amazing!

Probably Google tROAS bidding on Google Ads or performance max. The supervised learning has obvious value. LLM is the flavor of the month AI that every MBA with a PowerPoint deck is talking about right now.

@Zed
I beg to differ. Agencies will need to reinvent themselves. AI will radically change marketing. I know, because I am leading the development of these solutions in a large enterprise.

Tell me, what specific area of marketing do you think is radically going to change over the next 18 months due to AI?

Can you please elaborate on how you generate the creative? What type? What does the output look like? What technology do you use? What product?

What do you think of the pushback from consumers on AI imagery?

Airbrushing was harmful and caused countless eating disorders and issues with body dysmorphia; are they considering that at all?

Is there a way to show us the creative and censor the brand? I’m just curious about the quality of output.

We’re using AGI for all our clients; none of them have noticed that all imagery is AI. Some are small brands, some very large.

The best uses we’ve seen is that of analyzing and interpreting data. Opus for a lot of it, then GPT for graphs.

@Zora
Just as an FYI, if you are using AI assets for creative and not informing your clients, you’re setting yourself up for a massive lawsuit. Especially with large brands that require immaculate rights management.

@Denim
For sure. They know it’s a possibility, but we haven’t always informed them when we have. Mostly we wanted to see if they would notice, and so far, they have not.

@Zora
What kind of creative are you making? What is the industry? Sorry for all the questions, genuinely curious.

Mostly images, and waiting for video to become more accessible. Current industries are agriculture and health care.

@Zora
You’re using Artificial General Intelligence? With what tools? I thought AGI is still a few years out.

You’re right, I meant to say AI. Most of what we’re using today is for the advanced automation of processes and tasks. Getting data into vector databases for easier analyzing. It’s still mostly an 80/20 split of manual labor towards the end.

@Zora
Aaah, gotcha! I thought that I’d missed something! Thanks for clarifying. What tools are you using for image generation? The usual suspects?
