I’m looking to connect with people who are knowledgeable about AI and its effects on marketing. Finding insightful sources has been more challenging than I expected!

I have some acquaintances who discuss this in person, but I don’t follow them online.
AI has been involved in marketing for a long time, so most discussions feel dated. I find that online conversations tend to come from those who view AI in marketing as a novelty or are trying to leverage it for their businesses. Those who really understand it often feel fatigued after so many years of discussions.
@Jai
That reminds me of that South Park episode where Cartman created an AI movie maker called Awesome-O.
Real creativity often comes from people, not algorithms. AI feels generic.
If you don’t learn to use AI, you’ll fall behind. For those who do know how to use it, it could lead to business as usual or even improved outcomes.
AI has made my job much easier and more enjoyable. For instance, it’s enabled me to do things like voiceovers for videos that were previously outside our budget. While I’d still hire a voice actor for high-end ads, using AI for social media posts saves money and keeps me from using my own voice, which I dislike!
For skilled marketers, I see AI as an asset rather than a threat; it’s not going to replace the human factor in marketing anytime soon. That said, it may eliminate low performers in the field and potentially shrink marketing departments, which many might view negatively.
Just look at all the SEOs who bragged about using AI to create content that ranks quickly. What are they saying now after the latest Google update?
AI is somewhat of a myth. It’s really about leveraging computed intelligence from large datasets. The goal is to automate the tedious tasks you don’t want to do. I’m using various AI platforms for analyzing Excel, cleaning up code, keyword research, and social monitoring.
You should check out Aleyda Solis, Rick Watson, and Chris Long. They have all provided invaluable insights.
AI has doubled my productivity. That’s what it’s best for.
I run a daily newsletter called Data-Driven Marketing, which isn’t solely focused on AI but covers plenty of related topics. Recently, I discussed NLP and sentiment analysis.
I’m curious to see who else is recommended in this thread. I follow companies like MarTech for insights, but I haven’t come across many people discussing data and technology in a strategic context, so I decided to start sharing my thoughts.
