What’s the best piece of marketing advice you ever received?

Short and sweet question where you can exchange valuable information someone bestowed upon you.

Never spend 5 years getting 3 years of experience.

More general career advice but it pushed me to level up.

I may be illiterate. What does this mean?

1: Do some Market research first.
2: Try a lot of A/B testing.

Tips for both?

Learn how to manage up.

Ensure that marketing delivers a minimum ROI of 2:1 (or a specified multiple, depending on your industry), where every dollar spent on marketing, including salaries, generates at least $2 in attributable revenue.

Be a ‘jack of all trades’ because some owners who are bad at managing things will give you more tasks outside of your field because they think you can adapt. Next thing you know you are also doing Admin work. Lol

ATTENTION is King - If you just focus on getting attention on your ads, the rest will follow. Literally overnight, I shifted my mindset and BOOM ads, sales pages, websites etc started doing really well.

Start with business goals, then talk tactics.
